Theres dozens of variations out there. Trying to stock up on baits I'll need for Fork this coming month. Is there a particular "red" I need to concentrate on?

Theres toledo gold, royal red, rayburn red, red craw, the solid red with the dot on the side...

We dont really fish red a lot here, so thought I'd ask. I know every lake has its own color that just works better for some reason. Ive seen the red craw bill lewis color skunk another "red" rattle bait before.

It really depends on the day... I would first select a manufacturer that you prefer then get a few red and a few bright orange/red. Red Craw sounds right, I like the baits there with at least some orange in them...

Color variations are made to catch Fisherman, Not Fish......

I like this color a lot and use it but I do not like how Lucky Craft lures drop on slack line:

The drop on Strike Kings are awesome and look very real. I checked both of these out in my pool so I could see the drop. If you do not care about the drop and fish them fast then just go with what ever you like the best and change out the hooks if the one you like has bad hooks.

I like these colors for Strike King:

Chad that Lucky Craft is called Spring Craw and it's deadly on Fork.

Yup I bet it is! I think I saw Tanner throwing this on Youtube in the winter and that is what got me to "bite". This is my first year bass fishing so I haven't had a chance to throw it yet. I actually love the feel of the Lucky Craft lipless cranks and I like the rattle they have too...not to mention I can cast them a mile. Just hate it when I lose one!

You know from my experience colors do matter, action and size are more important. Buy more then one type of lipless bait, certain days an exaclibur will work better then a strike king. Or a Lewis will out perform another. U never know until u try.
