Granbury has been decent all year and when its cold this time of the year the fish turn on. No trip this am, but I caught a dozen keeper stripers before 8:30am and missed many more. Really great action. Here is a picture of the 5 I kept. Biggest is right at 8lbs. Granbury is actually one of the better striper lakes right now. Believe it or not.

The action at Whitney is similar. Give me a call.

Are you bait fishing now or have you switched over to artificials?

How's Proctor Michael?

The wife and I have been wanting to take a trip there and fish for hybrids.

I'm new to a boat too (july this year)

Just keep reading Michael.

Pay special attention to electronics, all info and pictures you can find will help.
Study them.

And I really fond of slabbing for schooling whites.
But it works for many, many types of fish.

I'd read up on that as well.
Happy Fishing.

Welcome aboard.

If the sea ray sets up high you have 2 choices--get a TM and have someone make a longer shaft for it or get some of the electric motors that mount on your outboard.

Right now i am using heavy head jigs with 5 inch jerkbaits and swim baits (bass assassins and sassy shad) fishing in 20 to 30 feet of water.

Hope that helps.

thanks, the boat has an inboard and i think i have an idea on how to build a mount for a bow mount for the trolling motor. it sits 24" off the water when its docked so i dont think ill have to have any extensions. im just not sure about the Fishfinder mount and other stuff ill want to buy.. thanks for all the help..
