Went down to the beach below Sabine Pass and fished from 4 till dark.
Water was clear and cold. Managed three fish-
Had the first one on a blue crab--about 40-42"
Finally neted a nice size mullet and got it out and hooked up almost right away. Fought it for a few minutes and lost it. Brought the mullet in and it looked like a severe malling accured but through it back out and as I was walking back in to rod holder my other pole hooked up. Fought that fish for a couple minutes and look over and other pole pops and fish was on it. Luckily had a guy down the beach a 100 yards and yelled at him to come over and help so he came over and he grabes my other pole and it was on.
This is the fish Robert landed. Found out he was from Oregon and he had no idea how big Reds got and said it was the bigest fish he ever caught. Said he was going to be camping out on hte beach so he could fish all the next day. Love to turn people on to fishing for Reds!
