I am a Stratos fan myself, but i will say this.

I would take a great driver in a bad boat before i would take a bad driver in a great boat?

Driver to me has more to do with it than the boat does.

Guys everyone on will have there own opioin about what boat is better than the others but what it really comes down to is what the individual likes and what there happy with!!!! Also like some one said 80% of staying dry is the driver and how they drive the boat!

I would add in that a poorly propped boat that takes too long to get on plane will get you wet. Many "wanna-go-fast-top-end-matters-most" boats have that issue..once on plane you should be dry or switch drivers. As a side note if I'm driving and my passenger whines about a little wind spray getting on them from jumping on plane, let's just say they will be wet by day's end. I can keep you dry or I can get you wet...driver's choice. As a passenger it's probably best not to whine about the driving. grin

Most guys will just tell you the boat they own this week. I've owned several (hawk, skeeter, nitro, and basscat) and rode in them all. Older champs are the best I've seen. Legend is very close but didn't have the platform stability I was looking for. The older hawk I had was pretty good and the nitro was driest because it was the CDC. It depends on the driver, and what your wanting out of your ride? I love the basscat I'm in now (puma ftd). It handles big water pretty well although I do get sprayed from time to time.

Drive them all and see what fits you best. Don't worry about what everyone else thinks.

My buddy has a Champion and I love it! My Carolina Skiff does well too, but not nearly as fast or cool looking!

I havent ridden in some of these newer boats and havent ridden in an older champ, but my phoenix has done really well in some winds.. havent had it out in anything really nasy yet but will run great on white capping water... the hull does a great job of slicing the waves, the hull takes much less trim than some of the other boats i have been in..
we were able to run comfortably at around 65- 70 in white caps. the hul doesnt " Jar " you either when you smack a good wave..
I came out of a skeeter ZX225 and it did fine in rough water but it did like to slap waves when running a little faster.
Im sure the others mentioned are good as well.
but I agree 100% Ride and decide

My Cajun handled pretty good in some rough water out at Hubbard. When I idled out of the cove a wave blew over the front but once I got on plane it was fine, but this is my first boat so I dont have anything to compare to.
