What size jig head do you use when fishing the 2" peg-able slip bobber? I have been using 1/32 oz and I do the jig head hasn't hit bottom but I can't get the bobber to stand up. I'm wondering if I'm using too small of a jig head.

The super duper no fear ninja fishing experts will chime in shortly but until then I'll give my 2 cents. Do you have a pic of the bobber you are using? Have you tried tying 2 of the jigs on line? I think this time of year you can get away with using a little bigger jig. With a 1/32nd jig you might need a smaller float.

I don't have an actual picture of the bobber handy but it is the Comal HC150RB 1.50" Peg Float as seen here. I rigged it with a bead and bobber stop.

Those are the bobbers. I use 1/32 oz jig head.

I order a couple packs of packs of these in the 2" size so I hope they will stand up with 1/32 oz jig head and tube. Do you actually string the line through the peg and then through the bobber or just through the bobber and then lightly shove the peg in at a specific depth?

jrack it also depends on your line size. The thinner the line the easier it will pull through.
A 1/32 will pull 4# line down deeper than 6#.

I fix my bobbers so that I can put a small glowstick on top when I'm fishing at night.

I cant wait to feel the thump! Should be picking up pretty soon with all the cool nights we've been having. A strong cold front with cool rains will start the crappie running up the creeks.

Meanwhile, i am finding them, good ones, suspended in 13-15 of water, suspended in the 14 ft range. Also finding them near concrete bridge supports, in 3-5 ft of water! They are as fickle and as unpredictable as the weather right now!
