People have to work some time. I bet everyone is waiting for Carey's magical 30.2 Barometric Pressure before heading out.

Yes, bank trips are 150 for two people, or one.
Wrc just has to much shad swimming around. I throw the cast net and I pull in 100's of shad. Just to much food to trick them into a jig. Creeks are done. Lasted a whole three weeks. Shad don't show up till end of January usually. They were a month early.

When you string weeks of 60/70 degree days in the MIDDLE of the winter, your winter creek bite for crappie is just not gonna ever really crank up!! I want those days in the early spring to stir the sandies, cause in a normal yr, by then I am done with the crappie, and start concentrating on lmb pre spawn and the sandie runs in Hickory, Rowlett, WRC,and Cow.
This winter has sucked!! If I wanted this kind of weather at this time of yr, I'd live in the Rio Grande Valley!!!!!

RC and WRC are done in my book. The bend at WRC always will produce but I like my Winter Backwood Creeks. Beavers, Deer, Bobcat, Turkey, and an owl hooting every morning, Thats the SSSC. We boated over 60 Crappie today up a creek today including lots of keepers now. Crappie were hiding in submerged brush and logs. If I didnt have side imaging and down imaging, no way would we have got into them. Fished a lot of normal stuff everyone would fish, but the underwater stuff was spitting them out. Now, with this rain that is coming, I think a lot of creeks will get some new crappie if it dumps more than an inch. I just heard the Liar, the weatherman say 2-3 inches. BS. So does this mean no more bank trips for you Carey? I am full time Bank and/or Boating for crappie, and, Trout up in Broken Bow Everyday unless its raining. I will love my day off..... No more WRC or RC for me. (or am I just saying that.....? ) The trinity has some great feeder creeks. The river is always moving from Lewisville Dam discharging. All the shad swim up those creeks too.... I guess I forgot to tell yall in the winter, the shad swim up creeks, blah blah (read that topic somewhere behind this post) Google earth is your best friend.

My hopes are that the shallow water at the mouth of the creek wont be a problem for the sandies like it was for the crappie, I know they go up creek for different reasons. What do you think, will it be a crappy run?

I paddled up RC last weekend and a bit pass 66 there is a old dam(i think)that was about 4" out of the water with the a small hole in the center. However i did see alot of golf balls in the 1-2 ft of water. I didnt see anyone catching anything.

this is actually the wrong thread, the "sandbass" thread looks very similar in the tittle, only difference is it says sandbass not crappie. There's 2 years worth of info in there from where to park what to use, etc
