You're right. I fished a couple docks on Sunday and didn't get a bite. I also hit the creek and caught several sunfish but no crappie.

Carey's been practicing on my turf! As usual, he doesn't know the water but figures it out quickly! He hit some crappie on the Fabled and Fabulous Elm Fork a few days ago, and even had a stray sandie here and there! Can this boy fish or what!!!!!

Eric hooked a Hybrid Striper about 6 lbs as well. Got it to the boat and pulled off. Hit the jig so hard, it almost pulled the rod in the water. -
Near the dam, the shad are so thick it says 1 ft on my depth fider in 12 foot of water. Gizzards and thread fins.

Preaching to the choir Carey! BUT, i still got a jewel of a stretch of water that neither u nor KaLub have hit yet, and i have only done damage from the bank! Considerable damage over the years. And once saw one of the coolest things i have ever seen out on the water: A water snake, a small one, about 18 inches or so, was coning across the channel towards a stump i was pounding heavily with a spinner bait! Had seen a bass, looked to be 7-8 lbs, maybe bigger, just destroying whatever passed by that stump, that is, everything but my H&H spinner.

Anyway, the snaked got closer so i decided to watch: As the snake got by the stump, a massive swirl appeared, a giant GULP!,presto, no more snake! That big ole sow just swallowed it whole!!

Mutha Nature is pure greatness!

BTW, i never did catch that monster bass. I guess she died of old age.

Quit whining, Carey's shadow! Er ah, i mean KaLub! You know u will dropping your jig on Carey's punkin head till you get it down to the strike zone!

Meanwhile i will be at the brickyard by myself, my ice chest overflowing with slabs, cursing the cormorants for eating the crappie, and softly laughing at u yahoos!

I recommend you use Minced fish for maximum effects. You get to blow fish all over someone and you get to chum the area as you do battle. eeks grin
