Since I haven't done session fishing can't answer any thing. But I have run out of propane and been short on clothes while hunting. Hate when you go out and the front come in early! Who makes a good tent heater?

1. What non-fishing items do you bring? Baby Wipes!, Lots of Hand Towels, Tylenol or Pain Meds, Captain Morgan, Heater in the Winter, Pillow/Blankets/Sleeping Bags, LOTS of extra clothes, Phone Charger. 2. What are your favorite foods (human not carp)? I don't take much fancy stuff, although I've been know to whip up a pretty mean dinner when the supplies are available. Usually I take Chips (Different flavor of Ruffles), Jack Link's Beef Jerky (Teriyaki), Powerade or Gatorade, WATER!!, Spaghettio's/Chef Boyardee Ravioli, Chili, Sandwiches (either made before I go or bought from Sonic, Arby's, or Subway), Little Debbie's Oatmeal Cookies. If I plan on cooking, I usually just do Hot Dogs or sauteed Philly-Style Sammiches. I'll also keep some cash on me so that I can order food to be delivered. There is a Pizza Hut that will deliver to Emma Long Park- 512.275.0111. Also at the Baldwinsville tourney, I called a Pizza place and told them I wanted Pizza delivered to my swim. They guy says, "Cool. What Peg are you at?" 3. What other preperations do you make? I get my points straight with The Princess, or if I don't feel like getting the points straight will omit greif, I'll just tell her the day before I leave. (If I'm going to get shti up to the day I leave PLUS 10 days after I get back, I figure I may as well save myself some pre-trip harrassment. Other than that, I make sure I have enough gas in the truck so that I can run the heater if I need to, and I make sure I am prepared for rain.
Extra Credit Question What is your biggest long session screw up? I didn't bring any Tylenol and I injured my back really bad while I was unloading. I spent the next 3 days in pain and having difficulty moving around. Yeah, I was hurt bad, but I wasn't going home. On another trip with Mark, Donnie, and Krista I brought only Gatorade and ended up with a massive headache. I ended up having to leave to go get some Tylenol and pretty much wasted a night of Fishing while they were all hauling.
MASTER CHECKLIST: Rods, Reels, Pod, Alarms, Rig Wallets/Extra Terminal Tackle to make rigs, Scale, Weigh Sling, Tent (or bivvy as your taste may be- I prefer a tent so that I can fit my stuff in it more comfortably), Leads, Knife, Headlamps (Several), Net, Unhooking Mat, Baiting Needles (Several), Bait Stops, BAIT!!, Chum (Method Mix/Range Cubes/Maize/Spod Mix), Baiting Tools (Spod, Throwing Stick, Catapult, Baiting Spoon, Camera, Extra Batteries for Camera and Headlamps, Bedchair/Cot/TentCot, Extra Buckets for hand washing and watering down fish on the mat, Keepsack (Just in Case...),
FOOD RECOMENDATIONS: Chips (Different flavor of Ruffles), Jack Link's Beef Jerky (Teriyaki), Powerade or Gatorade, WATER!!, Spaghettio's/Chef Boyardee Ravioli, Chili, Sandwiches (either made before I go or bought from Sonic, Arby's, or Subway)

Pre cooked curry, Bacon & Eggs, easy stuff for lunch IE Boiled eggs, lunch meats, Jerky, chips and fresh fruit, 3. What other preperations do you make? Extra Credit Question What is your biggest long session screw up? I think my classic blunder was leaving Indiana and getting a phone call in Little Rock telling me that my boilies were still in the freezer! MASTER CHECKLIST: (will be populated with your answers)

1. What non-fishing items do you bring? Shade and Shelter, Baby wipes are a must (Don't call me a wuss but they really do the job.) I make two mental or written checklists for tackle and me being comfortable. I have a medical kit I've 'borrowed' from work if something goes really wrong; however a good car charger for my cell phone has saved me a lot of trouble, so I highly recommend that. In all honesty the seasons dictate most of it. PLASTIC BAGS don't trash where they splash.
2. What are your favorite foods (human not carp)? I'm a big fan of the La Azteca meat markets so I'll pick up beef skirt, marinated chicken for the first night, Fischer Sausages can be bought at Metzlers BBQ, along with Strongbow Cider and lots of other things. I usually bring a French Press, and some CINNAMON flavored coffee, and additional CINNAMON for my CINNAMON coffee, as well.
3. What other preperations do you make? If it's going to be for a couple nights it's good to have everyone comfortable, bring plenty of R rated stories. Make sure you know where the nearest Gas station/convenience store is ahead of time. I have a ready to go list at all times, aside from food and drinks my kit is ready to go at any time so it takes all the risk out of being unprepared, additional camera, alarm, and Flashlight batteries seem to help.
Extra Credit Question What is your biggest long session screw up? Not replacing spent alarm batteries, or realizing I only have my phone camera, or being in the low 30's in only a Brolly.

1. What non-fishing items do you bring? The kitchen sink - if I have enough room??2. What are your favorite foods (human not carp)? We always have plenty of canned stuff - as we've been wiped out a couple of times with ants, however a healthy (?) bacon and eggs/fried bread & baked beans breakfast sets one up for the day. Granola/power bars and fresh fruit to snack on during the day. As for an evening meal, canned 'new potatoes' green beans and some good beef chili hits the spot. We always have plenty of flour tortillas, and good cheese - for quesadillas. A good non stick frying pan, and two tortillas, with cheese, deli ham and picante sauce sandwiched between them - cooked both sides over a low heat, is a good quick tasty meal. We also often cook sandwiches in the frying pan. Fry some thin slices of Spam, make a one egg omelet, put it on nice wheat bread - with butter inside, and outside - and then back in the pan, and brown it both sides -- food of the Gods -- especially when tasting of Carp - 'cos you're catching!! 3. What other preparations do you make? For a multi day session, it is pretty important to make sure you have enough bait/food/beer/clothes/propane/fresh water etc. A good check list sure helps!!Extra Credit Question What is your biggest long session screw up? Buying Walmart dongle batteries for my ATTX set up, and being 40 miles from civilization before finding out they were useless. They were 1v lower than what I needed. I blanked for the 3 days anyway - however, didn't get much sleep - just waiting for the stinking monsters I was looking for!! Bless my Delk TXI's and RX -- less frigging batteries to carry!!Go out for a week -- it's character building, as long as your bivvy and bedchair are good PS -- Coleman 'Black Cat/Event Cat' ceramic heaters are totally bivvy safe, and run a long time on one of the small green bottles. They aren't expensive (Walmart) and - for their small size, heat the bivvy up PDQ. PPS - Simple Green is a great all round cleaner for everything cooking wise. If you don't have too much water - it can be used sparingly, and wiped off with a paper towel, and really leaves no residue that taints food taste. What is everyone's idea of a 'long session'? Is an overnighter a 'long session'?

For me, anything overnight. But then, if I do anything overnight it is probably going to be at least 2 nights to make it worthwhile.

Overnighter at Emma a few years ago- This is all I had with me: I had dropped my family off in Port Aransas and stopped to fish Emma overnight on the way back. I went back to Emma a couple of weeks later while they were still away, and then one more overnighter at the end of the month on the way down to pick them up. On all 3 of those trips I did not take my tent or Bivvy- I just set up under the stars and dealt with the deer that came to eat my bait. Chad
