What did he get so far Tom? My fishing got moved back to about 7 this evening. But that makes it better I can stay as long as I want or until the bugs run me off.

I figure there will be lots of fish turned in this weekend, being the last weekend of the month. I plan to spend the first weekend of October on Texoma. I have never gotten a big cat out of there but there is always a first time stir

Think he won't be back from Texoma till Sunday night. Scale says something like 25.88
Also mentioned he caught some shad that made those ones at Twak we caught look small. I wanted to see pics of those grin

I pulled my first all nighter in a long time on Tawak. We caught plenty of fish but nothing over 8 pounds. Got home at 7 this morning, slept til about 1pm when the wife finally made me get up. It was a nice night out there, the bigguns just didn't cooperate.

Johnny, I worked deep, shallow, and everywhere in between. We caught fish at every depth, nothing but dinks though. I had found where the fish were concentrated the last 2 weeks, went to those same places and others like them to find almost nothing. The water temp is still a little too warm, but usually when I find them really scattered like this the lake is in full turnover mode. Good luck to ya out on Cooper, hope you find a biggun.

Sounds like it has been a tough weekend so far for most of us bang Hopefully someone will post a biggun soon banana I am just wondering what this cold front is gonna do to the fish. I found huge balls of bait all over the place, I am thinking that if the bait stays balled up like that the blues shouldnt be far behind once they decide to put the feed bag on.

Ok here is my story, I got to Texoma friday a little after noon, set up camp ate and finaly got the boat in the water, shad were everywhere, but they were small, about 3 - 3 1/2" got 4 or 5 about 6" decided to go fish started drifting in 25' water with slight breeze out of the north, hung a fish and got this one in this is hard to do by yourself with a cell phone!!!

After I caught the fish the wind quit and I went to look for some bigger shad, I found some monster shad, got a 1/2 dozen and that was all, but it was enough for the rest of my fishing!!!

My son came up that nite and with no wind we decided to fish the next morning, we made a drift, he hung a good fish got it close to the boat and it turned the other way and just came off, then I caught another one, I thought I had another sugar britches paper in the boat but I didn't so I got the one from friday that had been rained on out of the bottom of the boat!!!

It's a lot easier when you have someone to take your picture, after we took the pictures my son wanted to go to Gander Mountain to get some stuff for our bowhunting trip next weekend, and when we got back we put up bowstands and I didn't get to fish anymore, sure wanted to fish this morning but the 30-40 mph wind gusts on texoma early this morning canceled that!!!

Way to go Larry. I think the winds have kept most of us off the water today.

It was nice to catch a good fish, September has been a small fish month for me, it is kinda rough on me cause next week I'll be bow-hunting and thinking about fishing!!! I wanted to fish today but the wind kept me off the water, I did pull my boat down by the water and throw some rods out, something kept hitting one of those monster shad heads, but I guess they couldn't get it in their mouth, and I caught a little flat-head about 1 1/2 lbs and a blue about 5 lbs!!!

Right now there are 5 fish turned in for September for a total of 142 pounds. That is about a 28 1/2 pound average. Gonna be interesting to see how the month ends, and also see the averages for the next 6 months. Hope to see some more bigguns turned in for September. cheers

Anyone besides Larry get a fish over 20 this weekend? I'm gonna give it one more shot out there before month end and then hopefully my luck will change in October. This month has been pretty rough on me and most others it seems as far as bigger fish.

I think Tex is sandbagging on us wink

September has historically been a rough month on me for big fish. Last year the biggest blue I got in September was an 18 pounder. I actually got more big fish in August this year than I have in September so far. I got lucky this year and found where some big fish were hanging out, they were there for a little over a week. They have now since moved from there and now the hunt will be on for October. October can be a feast or famine month on Tawakoni, but no matter what it should be better than September. We have nowhere to look but up, the cooler temps should get the lakes turned over and the fishing will be nothing but better from there.
