Registration is open for the 2nd Annual Reel Thanx Fishing Tournament to be held at Lake Amistad on Saturday, Oct. 16th, 2010.

Reel Thanx is a non-profit group based out of Midland, TX that takes wounded active-duty military personnel on all-expense paid 3-day fishing trips at Lake Amistad. We take an average of 24 men over the course of each year, with 6 men attending each quarterly trip.

This fishing tournament will coincide with our last trip of the year and help us raise funds to continue doing what we're doing for these heroes. We've had such incredible feedback from these heroes who have gone on these trips and described them as "life-changing."

For more information about our cause, please visit our website at www.reelthanx.org.

To obtain a registration or sponsorship form, please email us at info@reelthanx.org .

Thank you for your support!

Had some questions: Heard I could take my son with me fishing along with my tournament partner, and then I heard I could'nt. Rules don't state anything about 3 being in the boat they also don't state place of weigh in and is 7 o'clock first cast or take off from ramp. The tournament directors do get some prefishing in, advanatge them. With lack of half the rules, leaves alot open for interpetation that could get you DQ'ed. It is for a good cause and I know some of the soldiers personally. Just need to have some integrity.

I'd sure like to make this, went to pilot training at Laughlin AFB years ago. I haven't been back since I graduated. We would occasionally go out on Amistad and have some fun.
