Has anyone fished here recently? Like to know what its like before driving an hour to get there.

Also if your catching what are you catching on?

have not been there recently but with as little pressure it gets it almost always produces. I fish both sides but prefer the old side. I'd flip a tube in the shoreline grass and hold on. Also shallow cranks can be effective. I like the area right around the ramp and there is usually fish in the reeds in the same spot. The new side is rocky and deep and be cautious running it. You can flip up a good jig bite on that side or a drop shot for numbers. The roadbed just off the ramp can be really good wioth a C-rig. Fun little lake. we did a Honey Hole show there a few years ago and Bill liked it so much he's been back a time or two.

Yeah you can just hit shoreline on the old side and not worry much about electronics. Old side is easy to run just watch the shoreline and swing wide of points. You can catch 'em shallow on the new side but I'd idle if you don't have a depthfinder cause it can get tricky on that side even in deeper water.

When you say old side and new side, how would i tell them apart? I would be launching from the south ramp.

The old side(Lake Jacksboro) is the first one you come to,if your going out of jacksboro. Its usualy coverd with reeds around the ramp area.Theres park beside it.
The new side (Lost Creek) is just little farther up the road. Its deeper and clear.Be careful theres tree tops in 40 ft. of water.
