Does anyone know about a new law at Hubbard, that you cant bank fish except for acouple of places? My son and his friends and their dad were run off my the marshall who said the State had taken over Hubbard and except a couple of places still run by the city of Dallas. He said its acouple of months old but theyre not really enforcing it all at once so people dont complain. He also said it was because it was a drinking water reservoir. He did say you can still fish from boat.

Maybe it has something to do with the body parts being found in the lake.

You can fish I assume at the public boat ramps.Key word public.

Does not sound right to me. I would think there needs to be a no fishing sign where they were unless it was private property. You can fish at several parks on the lake and with the low water people are fishing more along the rocks where roads cross the lake.

I thought about that but he said it started a couple months ago.

They were fishing by the public boat ramp at Robertsons park and told to move about 200yds.

He said they werent enforcing it fully yet and there were only a few places the city of dallas is still running. No signs yet.

They were on shore, not in the water but can fish from boat Marshall said.

I don't understand how you can be in a boat but not on the bank.

There is no camping around Lake Ray Hubbard, but Robertson Park is a large day-use area with excellent bank fishing access and two boat ramps. Ramps and other services are available at other city parks and private marinas around the lake.

No where does it say you cant fish there. It was probably the dead persons arm thing....

I bank fish Hubbard every weekend! The only time I was told to leave was at Terry Park because I went past the closing time. I fish all over the lake & never had a problem.

just heard from a regular there that the police wont run you off if they see you are fishing but dunno .... we arrived right before day break there this morning for our fish in and there were a couple of guys that looked like they had spent the night . i guess it depends on the p.o. working ?

He was nice, first time in ten years of fishing there! He looked young too.
