That sounds extremely fun Richard! I've also heard that grassers enjoy pop ups.

1. Soft Maize/Sweetcorn
2. Basic Hair Rig with a Sliding Sinker.
3. Bait with Dry Cracked Corn about 10' from shore overnight. I've hooked them as close as 2'- I saw 5 big shadows coming down the bank, and I rolled off my chair, grabbed a rod with corn on it and set it in their path. The explosion when he realized he was hooked was amazing.

EC- Now my favorite place is Emma Long; although it was Lake Kiowa when I had access.

What method would you use for Grassers?

I am considering making a Oats/Cracked Corn/Whole Corn Method.

My son's first grass carp was at Martin Creek. He was using a light rod with a spinning reel and 6 pound test. It weighed 17 pounds and took him over 15 minutes to get in. He might have been a little too cautious but they are strong and like to take a lot of line off your reel.

I havent fished for rough fish in over 25 years but thats what we used to slay them on.
