I do miss the good times of blowing stuff up while in the Marines!
I was active duty when the federal building in Oklahoma was attacked by McVeigh. About a year and half later, my platoon command wanted to see just how much oomph an explosion like that could have. While we were out at a demolitions range, we took a 55 gallon drum 1/2 full of diesel. We poured about 50lbs of Miracle Gro or some type of fertilizer in there, then let is set for 2 days.
After 2 days, we put a couple pounds of C4 on the sides of the drum and wrapped the drum in det cord. Well, let me say the range limit was 5lbs a shot. We went a bit overboard

We blew windows out of a fire station on Pendleton almost 3 miles away!
Good times

And yes.... we did get in some trouble for that one!
