There is some much needed rain on the way to the San Antonio area and the Hill Country as well as South Texas. A tropical depression is heading this way at this time and in some areas 7 to 10 inches of rain is predicted. Be careful out there and watch for flash flooding. Stay safe.

A lot of creeks and rivers will be flowing out of their banks Some of my spots are underwater now. If anyone has any current information on a certian river or creek let us know.

Cibolo creek behind my house is pretty full and still rising. Might be a day or two before its fishable again. This part of the creek is usually dry, I couldn't make it to the pools I fish without going through what you see, Last night This morning

im gunna go explore a usually dry creek behind my house today, ill get some pics..
i kinda doubt my fishing sport is covered.. the rain would of had to fill canyon lake. although i might hit up the river by 311 and see if its up, im sure it is.

I heard New Braunfels got pounded and so did Canyon. Let us know. Great pics Mike. You know some of your trophy fish will end up at C resent Bend Nature Park.

From news reports: Fossil Creek in Haltom City swelled out of its banks early Wednesday and threatened the Skyline Mobile Home Park, which was the scene of a flooding fatality in 2007. Some roads were blocked because of high water, including Blue Mound between Harmon Road and Basswood Drive in Saginaw. I live on Blue mound rd, about two blocks from Basswood. The school called us this morning and said buses were running late, we just kept our boy at home. It got pretty hairy and I was thinking about relocating my house until it started receding. Oh and Fossil creek used to be my fishing hole.

Just saw some news photos of bear creek and it looks like the Gulf. They say that the Trinity River will bank out at 7 am to marrow. 48 feet crest. Second highest crest in that river's history.

That is the best way to flush a portapotty that I've seen. Uhhh, the contents of said porta potty are well on their way to Houston by now...no swimming for a few days down there.

well we walked down to the creek.. like i said, its usually pretty dry.. we didnt make it back before heavy rain hit again, i got soaked lol. this is about 16-18 feet wide. and feeds under the road. way up on the cliff. some neat falls on the way and the stairs where all those pics were taken, it is always bone dry.. all of the crossings on the nature trail were washed out flooded.

Thought the creek would've let up a little today but it has gotten worse.

Wow, that is pretty bad. The water in Euless/Grapevine has gone down quite a bit. Hope you see some relief soon.

Where is that at Reaper? It is some pretty country. I have been to the Rebecca Creek launch a few times and looks sort of like that area.

The best part about it is my son is trying to point to ways to get in there and fish, lol. I told him he is crazy and how dangerous it is. This creek has already taken one life this week and the Guadalupe two.

its a dry ravine right behind my house.. it leads all they way down to the duck pond in cypress cove, eventually going through the park and into the guadalupe. I used to explore it as a kid. someone bought the property, but they kept it a nature preserve. It is really nice to be able to take the kids, they made some trails and put picnic tables.. noone lives in the new neighborhood yet so there is literally never anyone down there. which is great cuz noone leaves trash for me to pick up.
we went to the rebecca creek bridge last night to check out the river.. it was flowing WAY to fast for any kind of fishing. it had receded enough to cross the bridge but was still slightly going over the bridge.. I got my oars together, monday or tuesday we are gunna drop in the river at the cypress cove ramp and row up towards rebecca creek.. hoping to find some nice fish up there.

Fishing should be good with this muddy water. I fished two of the smaller rivers and did very well. Good luck Reaper.
