Them weren't tornados. I grew up in Wichita Falls and was there in Faith Village in 1979 in my very first home when a real tornado came through. That bastage cut about a half a mile to a mile wide path leaving nothing but commodes clinging to slabs.

Yes I am safe.

I remember that one! My dad's parents and brother live in WF at the time. I think he made that drive in about 2.5 hrs (it's about a 4.5 hr trip).

Yep it wiped out that trailer park on the right just as you get into town.

I was still at work when my wife called and said one was on the ground in the field behind our house(I made that out between the screaming and an occassional cuss word). It leveled a house and a 40x 60 metal building 600 yards from our house then went back up over our house then came back down in the hay meadow on the other side, thank God we were very lucky. Noone in Ferris was hurt. My neighbor is the Firechief and he was interveiwed by The Weather Channel last night, pretty cool.

I got out of the car in Red Oak just in time to hear the sirens go off. No problems for us but others weren't so lucky. We watched the one skip across Dallas on channel 8.
