Good

Joey Watts (Flatland Custom Tackle): bought some spinnerbaits from him, easy transaction
Clint Wright: bought some jigs from him over a year ago, easy transaction
Black Angel Jigs: Easy transaction
Can't remember another guys name, but I bought a HDS5x from him. He also owns Poor Man Jigs. He threw in a couple of jigs in the box with the sonar.

I would do business with all of them again!

Ditto! Everything that I have bought has been exactly as described and when I sell something I try to be sure it is as I describe it too. There are a lot of people here that are nervous about using eBay and crookslist and as long as we all treat each other the way we want to be treated I think everything will be all good!

Now with that being said I did recently hear of a guy that bought a boat off here fairly recently and when he used it the motor had problems right away so he took it in for service where he found out the motor was not a 2.5 liter like it was supposed to be but was in fact a 2.0 liter. I do not know if the seller was aware of it when he sold it but somewhere down the line someone got screwed. BTW, this is the second time in a week I heard of this happening where people got blocks swapped and it was not what they thought they were getting....

I have'nt had any problems with anything that I have bought. I've even sold a couple, or three or maybe ten items on this forum. Last one was a power head to another wrench-head like me. I like the way everyone helps to keep a watchful eye out, cause if someone doesn't do right.....slammo! Everybody blackballs him, and even you monerrators will jump in there too, to help out.....thanks

I did not make a purchase from Kghaney(I think that's his screename) but intended to. Stopped by, checked out the boat and was intending on buying it, but someone showed up with cash in hand(he had already told me he had looked at it a few days earlier). While I was trying to get the money together, he(Kghaney) had the common courtesy to let me know the boat was gone so I would not have to waste any time or gas to come look at. You just don't get that kind of courtesy anymore. thumb

Drove 3 hrs one way to give him $1200 for a boat that had a motor "that only needed a water pump"-
Motor was junk bang

I have bought and sold probably 15x on here. I had one problem and the other guy made it right. I guess I am going to call that a success.

had good trade with cameron@lake fork marina, product just new as he described shipping good and timely etc. happy.

and I'll say brando is a fine feller.

almost got a little dicey with one member i won't mention name unless you PM me. I was the buyer. Our deal was solidified totally FINALIZED after discussing product and price x 2-3 days, and I put check in the mail within 24 hours of our agreement, and the next day he sent me a message to hold check or he'd return it b/c he was going to sell to somebody else locally to avoid shipping it. Maybe they didn't show up to buy it idk, b/c he changed his mind back to sell it to me within a few hours before i even knew this was happening.., so the deal ended fine. Also this same item he said he had opwned for 6 months, but i found transaction record here where he just bought it 2 months ago. I don't know why he lied but i almost killed the deal right there. Didn't seem like an honest person and i'd stay away from him from now on. This wasn't a couple of lures either, it was >$500 transaction.

That's bad news hangitup. I had a couple of very good transactions buying some Cowboys tickets from johnnlucky. He's a good guy and the tickets are legit and very, very good seats.

I have only had 1 problem. I won a contest to get crankbaits painted and sent them to the person. After a few months I made contact with the person a couple of times and now have not heard anything for 9 months.

Is there a process to have a mod contact the customer? I just want the crankbaits back. I let the person know this.

Thanks,
Rick

Out of dozens of deals thru 9 years I did not have any problems til this year. I wanted a TM and after a long time my pm FINALLY got answered and the deal was progressing.Sent a friend a check so he could give the guy cash. Then the guy says he sold it to another that day after he said deal was on with me.
Other bad deal was when offered a guy less than he was asking , he politely said no thanks and that was fine. Later he lowered his price to what I originally offered but he never responded to my pm s. A few weeks later he sold it for what I offered the 1st time.

I am not out any money but just felt bad because EVERYONE else on here is SO great. I have many friends thru some of the deals i had.

Bikeman is bad news. He is no longer on the forum, but it took me 4 months, the Parker Co Sheriffs Dept, and a certified letter to get my reel back.

I've never bought anything from anyone that wasn't a face to face transaction until this year. It was always hard for me to send someone money and trust them to ship me what they say they're going to... But I've had nothing but positive experinces on here. Here's a few people that I can remember from recent transactions... Oh and thanks mods for this sticky, it's nice to be able to try and research someone a little before buying from them!

People I've bought from that weren't FTF:

Jmontoya
NathenK
RngrMac ( I think that's how it was spelled, he's in Illinois)

FTF transactions:

can't fish
Late4lake
Superfish
Lewis Perry

I have sold and bought here a few times and have had no issues, seems like everyone is willing to meet up and is honest about what they have or want.
