It looks like they do. The past couple of years FOM-Tyler Ford Open has averaged about 80 boats.

I think you are right about the BLT. The Tyler Ford Open has been on this same weekend for several years. They usually have 80 teams fish it. It is usually the biggest tournament on Lake Tyler every year.

The BLT has rescheduled their Tyler Solo Division tournament for Sunday Sept 19. All other Lake Tyler Solo tournaments will be on Saturdays as scheduled.

Like bus driver said, launch will be at Concessions #2 off of McElroy Rd. McElroy Rd is off of Bascom Rd. If looking at Google Earth, it is Bascom Rd. to CR. 2127 to Pump Station Rd. There is plenty of parking there. If you want to put in somewhere else and come by water, that would be fine, you would just have to check in and have your boat checked out (livewells and lights).

As Fast Lane said, yes you can. Late registration (at the ramp) is $175.

There is an optional Bonus Bucks side pot for $25 that is paid back 100% to the top 3 participating teams.

Sign up early at Tyler Ford on Sept. 20-24 from 9am-7pm.

Cash Only - NO checks or cards!
Hope to see ya'll there!

For those that don't get a flyer before the tournament....

1. All local, state, and federal laws and regulations must be strictly adhered to.

2. All boats must check in at Lake Tyler Concession #2 Ramp with a tournament official BEFORE tournament. No trailering allowed.

3. Lifejackets must be worn and kill switch attached to driver anytime the boat is being propelled by the combustion motor.

4. Anglers shall not leave the boat during tournament hours except for "answering natures call". At no time will non-anglers be allowed in the boat during tournament hours. In the event that a boat is disabled, a teams' catch can be transferred to another tournament boat along with one team member and driven to weigh-in. One angler must stay with the disabled boat.

5. Communication with other anglers during tournament hours with cellular phones, radios etc. for the purpose of sharing information on fishing areas or conditions to gain an advantage over other anglers is prohibited.

6. No more than 5 fish allowed in livewell at one time except for culling purposes. Fish must be black bass or spotted bass at least 14” in length. Dead fish will be assessed ¼ lb penalty. Short fish will be disallowed and team will be assessed a 1 lb. penalty. (Dead fish may be kept in boat and taken home as long as the total number of fish in boat is not over the legal possession limit of 5 fish per person.)

7. Absolutely no drugs or alcohol will be allowed at weigh-in or in boat during tournament hours.

8. Anglers may fish with one rod and one artificial lure at a time. No live or cut bait will be allowed. No trolling with combustion engine will be allowed.

9. No team may fish within 50 yards of another boat that is anchored with the trolling motor up. No team may fish within 25 yards of another boat without that boats permission. Permission may not be granted to any team at the exclusion of another. No “hole sitting”.

10. All anglers agree to take a “truth verification test” at the weigh-in to be eligible for prize money.

11. Contestants may register at the ramp the morning of the tournament and will be assessed a $25 late fee. (Entry must be in cash.)

12. Weigh-in will begin at 3:00 pm. Teams must have their chip off the weigh-in board according to the time designated for their flight at registration. There will be a 1 lb. penalty assessed for each minute late. The cut-off time is 15 minutes past the teams’ designated weigh-in time. After 15 minutes, the teams catch will be disqualified. **NOTE** Your chip must be off the board by your designated time. However, you do not have to be in line. You may load your boat and then weigh your catch. This will help with congestion at the ramp. Once your chip is off the board, you may not return to the lake and fish.

13. All fish weighed in become property of Fishers of Men and live fish will be returned to the tournament lake. Any dead fish may be kept by the angler and taken home. Do not put dead fish back in the water at the weigh-in site!

14. The tournament director will make all rule interpretations. Protests must be made in writing within 15 minutes of the teams weigh-in. All decisions of the tournament director are final.

^Would that not be considered Trailering also?

NOPE!
Trailering is when you use another ramp and go straight to your fishing hole.

An example...You can put in at Hwy 64 and come to the Concession #2 ramp to have your boat check and wait for "blast-off", but you can't put in at Hwy 64 and go straight to your fishing spot.

In all the tournaments I have fished in, Trailering is bringing your boat to the Main Launch site and getting your livewell's checked and then going to another ramp on the lake to Launch. So from my understanding putting in somewhere else and coming by water would be considered trailering also. I wished they would just have it at the Marina where there is much more room to park and two launch ramps. Why are they having it at Concession # 2 now? Did they have a falling out with the guy that owns the Marina or something?

You are correct in your description too. Like you described, you use another ramp and go straight to your spot. Like I said though, you can use another ramp and come to Concessions #2 to have your boat check and wait on your "blast-off" number to be drawn. This is not considered trailering.

There is PLENTY of parking at concession #2. I do wish there was at least a double ramp there though.

We have just chosen to have our Lake Tyler tournaments out of Concessions #2 and there was no falling out.

Watch out in the dark though many boat houses and docks don't have lights and it's easy to run shallow in some areas.
