I grew up outdoors, but just recently found the passion for fishing. I have some friends that have been kind enough to take me out on their boats, but I don't have one yet. What do you guys suggest as far as bank fishing in the Waco area? Please help feed the addiction.

Thanks. Sounds like, from the lack of responses, that I am just going to have to try my luck at parks and the banks of the brazos. I'll stick around, though. This place is great.

For white/hybrid bass, go to Koehne Park where the old road goes out into the lake. Fish minnows or shad of the bottom on either side of the old road. They hang out on the drop offs of either side of that old road much like fish on a reef.

You can try Woodway park at the end of Estates Drive. The cats were hitting there today.
