Had the privilege to fish with Anh (aka H20) again on a lake I have never fished before but one that he has done pretty well on. He even let me take my old man along.
Well, let’s just say I have a new lake on my list for big, fat, hard fighting fish. We started off on brush in about 20’ and just hammered them. I don’t know what my dad was doing but Anh and I both were pulling in good sized fish. Well mostly Anh but I kept within striking distance I thought.
We caught some off timber here and there including a large white.
We fished on some brush in less than 15 foot but it wasn’t paying off outside some dinks.
One of the last spots we fished was as good as the first spot and we were ripping up lips again. That is when Anh put the hammer down on me and beat me like a red headed step child. That dude can flat out fish.
We ended up with 53 keepers. We threw back some that looked big but didn’t measure up. Man, that was a fun, educational day. After my spanking at the hands of the crappie king, I can see I have a long way to go in this sport we all love.
