My grandkids recently moved to Dallas, they are 5 and 7 and love to fish, so does their dad. Any kid friendly spots, maybe piers or easy to get to places that would be safe for kids to fish. Oh and they would like to actually catch something as well We live in Richardson, so close by would be nice as well, while i am asking.

bob jones park in southlake has some good fish..dunno if u wanna travel that far..

This is a superb little park with a pond in it. It's called Crowley park and it's perfect for bream and catfish.

Go to maps.google.com and type in "Crowley Park
Richardson, TX 75082"

Hotdogs or stinkbait work well for catfish there. Also bring some bread so the kids can feed the schools of bream on the dock.

Try Breckinridge park in Richardson

Itook them there a few weeks ago for a hook em for hero's tournament, only 6 fish caught by the crowd. we fished for hours afterwards and caught nothing, we only fished the big pond though.
