Prodigy is supposed to be a good one, it is the one my brother has, and he has been happy, I have a factory one so no personal experience.

My GM factory controller is [censored]! Don't rely on them.

You CAN NOT go wrong with a Tekonsha. Either a Prodigy or Voyager. I've had both and both are great units

on most trucks, there is already a plug under the dash for the controller, all you have to do is purchase an adapter harness to run to the controller and maybe install a fuse in the fuse box and installition is that simple

Thanks Poorboy, I appreciate the offer. This is simple install stuff. Just gotta splice the wires from the controller to the hookup for my truck and plug it in.

The ball will take some welding to a plate. Will probably drill and bolt the plate to the frame. We'll see.

Gonna be discontinued soon. The new version is called the P2. It is a little more advanced, whatever that means. But local trailer guru told me all this earlier today.

james you probably allready know this but, be sure to put spacers between your bed and frame ie;pipe or tubing for the bolts to go thru so you dont crush your bed down.hope the p2 buttons dont stick like the p3 buttons do !
