All joking asside, the wastewater effluent is probably the cleanest water in that river by a wide margin. It gets treated very well and comes out crystal clear. All the runoff from some of the neighborhoods in Ft Worth is a different matter entirely. Supposedly, there is a deep hole where Ft Worth's Village Creek treatment plant empties into the Trinity that has produced some very large cats. I don't think there is any public access to that spot though.
