Good stuff FZ!
I saw that same Stars and Bars air boat when I was down there last August.
I'm dying to get back to the section below PK. It's been running about 250-300 cfs for quite awhile now, nice level for that stretch. Hope to go in the Fall when the leaves are turning and the deer are moving around.

Very cool, Zombie. Wish I could have gone. But instead, I used some reasonable judgement and took my wife out for our anniversary....LOL....next time, though, I'm there.

Hey, speaking of the Brazos, did Salsa tell you about the promise of the Upper Brazos? We'll have to hit it soon...

Thanks dudes!

I'd welcome the opportunity to meet some more of ya'll. Please, let me know if you do the Brazos. I want some more of those river cats & big gar.

Butch,
Those are freshly picked Cactus Fruit.

BRod,
Wise decisions. Keep her happy. You'll get to fish a lot more if you do. Your welcome to come out and play with us anytime.

O.K. Well I grew up around the cattle business in South Texas, where they burn pear, when they run out of grass. They hit the cactus with homemade flame-thrower and burn the thorns off. Then the cows come through and eat it. We have picked tunas and rotated them over the gas range to burn the thorns off. It's been over 5 years since I did it last. But it seemed to work. Not sure if you could do it with a lighter. Anyway, how do you like all the seeds? And I would think that eatin more than 2 or 3 of those bad boys would "set you loose."

a lighter works fine. i cant stop with just one. might have a little bovine in me because i eat the seeds too. that goes the same w/ watermelons. haven't experience a disturbance in the force yet with prickly pears. maybe my gift in life. when i get older my iron gut might soften up. onions, cucumbers, cabbage, plums, prunes, green beans, BEANS, they all go down well in large quantities.
