1. What is your preferred test lb? 40-50 2. What is your preferred type of line and why? Braided line, line dia. to strangth ratio. I like to know that if I need to crank up the drag and control a big fish I can do it without breaking him off. 3. What brand do you prefer? I like Cabela's brand. I find it likes to sink better than most other brands I have tried. 4. What color line do you prefer? I love my yellow line, but they discontinued that color, now I go with red. 5. How often should you replace your line? I SHOULD replace every year. But I actually have a reel spooled up that is 3 years old, and still no issues with it.

1. What is your preferred test lb? 12 lb. for Euro and freeline setup, 6 or 8lb. for float rod 2. What is your preferred type of line and why?I like mono for the stretch and because I fish some rocky places where braid wouldn't be a good idea. I sometimes use a braid shock leader if weeds are present or more casting distance is needed 3. What brand do you prefer?Sufix Siege for mono, PowerPro for braid 4. What color line do you prefer?camo or green, clear for freeline rod 5. How often should you replace your line?I replace mine 3 or 4 times a year or when it needs it due to getting stretched out or dinged up

1. What is your preferred test lb? 50lb braid or 18lb mono mainline, 25lb fluoro leader. 2. What is your preferred type of line and why? Just switched to Sufix Performance in 50lb test. It is an 8-carrier, tightly wound braid that seems to sink better than most. Used in weedy conditions. The mono I use is 18lb Adrena-Line from Korda - low memory, slick surface, true-test strength, and casts well. I also use Berkely 100% Fluoro leaders in 25lb strength. It's relatively supple for a fluoro and sinks like a rock. 3. What brand do you prefer? Sufix Performance for braid, Korda Adrena-Line for mono, and Berkely 100% Fluoro for leaders. 4. What color line do you prefer? Lo-vis green for braid, Adrena-Line is a camo brown, and Fluoro is clear. 5. How often should you replace your line? Whenever it is nicked or showing any signs of wear. Braid can last for years, but mono at least every 6 months and the same with Fluoro due to UV damage.

1. What is your preferred test lb? Generally the lightest I can get away with. Lately I've enjoyed 12 - 15# mono or copolymer. I have one reel with 30# powerpro, and like the sensitivity and lack of memory. I use 4# on my UL float rod, and have landed several 10 - 12# fish on it, but don't usually use it in 'big fish' waters. 2. What is your preferred type of line and why? As per above, I haven't yet settled on a 'favorite', but am still playing with several. I get tired of the memory of monos like Big Game and like the relative 'amnesia' of copolymer and braid. 3. What brand do you prefer? Pline, suffix for copolymers and mono; powerpro is the only braid I've ever used. 4. What color line do you prefer? Dark/camo or clear mono and copolymer; I've only used the moss green pp but would like to try yellow or other hi vis. 5. How often should you replace your line? At least annually with mono, or as needed as evidenced by abrasion. I've had the powerpro on for two years now and it's still going strong.

1. What is your preferred test lb? -Have only ever used 50lb braid
2. What is your preferred type of line and why? -Have only used Powerpro
3. What brand do you prefer? Powerpro
4. What color line do you prefer? I like the dark green powerpro better because the red turned my reel and my rod all red
5. How often should you replace your line? -Have had it on almost a year and still going strong
PB Buff - 56lbs PB Common - 26lbs PB Mirror - 7lbs PB Grasser - 45lbs PB Koi - 10lbs

1. What is your preferred test lb? 12lb and 15 for my baitrunners, 4lb braid and 4lbflouro for my ultralight
2. What is your preferred type of line and why? I like mono for the stretch and braid for the abrasion resistance. I seem to always have flourocarbon on my ultralight for it's sink and invisibility
3. What brand do you prefer? I use almost all P-line for everything. P-line flouroclear is the line I use for my ultralight so I guess it's a copoly really but it fishes like flourocarbon
4. What color line do you prefer? lov vis green or clear for all line I use
5. How often should you replace your line? I replace every 4 months on my UL and once a year on my euro gear

1. What is your preferred test lb? 30lb for spodding, and 50 - 65 for reel line. 2. What is your preferred type of line and why? After using mono for most of my life, I finally got 'born again' with braid, a few years ago. After losing a few big fish with Berkely Big Game - I got very frustrated and spooled a reel with braid. It's still on there, been 'turned' once, and is still going strong!! I like the fact I am in direct contact with the fish at all times, have zero stretch (my rods take care of that) and -- I haven't changed line in over 3 years. I fish mono on a float rod, because I often grease the line so it floats. 3. What brand do you prefer? Power Pro. 4. What color line do you prefer? Green. 5. How often should you replace your line? When it needs replacing!! Depending on the amount of UV mono is subjected to probably once a year - however, I have a reel for my float rod -- that doesn't get used much -- with line over 3yrs old on it -- and it's still good. Same with my braid. Sure - I get nicks & chafes and have to cut some off occasionally -- that's just par for the course. Here's something that's not been mentioned though --- If you are starting out with a lot of line on the spool (I get over 300yds of 50lb braid on a spool) -- you are rarely using more than the first 100yds or so - whilst the brand new stuff is really just acting as backing. So -- when I get to where the spool isn't full enough to where it is hindering casting -- I add some backing (old mono works fine)to a spare spool, and transfer the line to it. I end up with a full spool -- with unused line on the top - not the bottom. Pretty simple really -- if it isn't broken -- why fix it?
