Just to confirm, Charger is definitely still in business and doing fine. I just ordered some new decals from them. They just don't believe in quantity and don't have a huge representaion in Texas. Because of that though, you can find some great deals in north Texas, OK, AR, and MO. I will tell you that my 19 1/2' is simply amazing in rough water and unbelievably dry. The entire hull was and is designed to handle rough water. All I heard was how slow they were, but I am knocking on the door of 70 GPS with a 200. And as far as ugly - you be the judge.

I loved mine. They sold about fifty 21's to one 22 according to Triton rep.

Nice rig you got there, kinda looks like a champ. Just to confirm, Charger is definitely still in business and doing fine. I just ordered some new decals from them. Thanks. They are actually quite different from a Champ. Here is a pic of the front / bottom. You can see the sharpness of the V and then smoothly widens and pushes the water out and away to keep you dry, but flattens out in the rear for stability.

Well we went to Ray Roberts Saturday and it was rough, 3 1/2 foot rollers and we are riding in a Alpha 199, I am not the best rough water driver but ain't to shabby either. The trade off for us was a broken back or a spray in the face, I took the spray cause it was hot a carp outside! Cutting across a large area with a bass boat no matter what you have can be an adventure if the wind is blowing mock 80.
My boat is smooth riding and cuts the waves if you sink the nose but with the wind blowing hard it gives it time to come back and hit you in the eyes! You can bury it and run straight into those same waves and never get a drop on you and save your back, but when you go at an angle you are screwed.

If you can find a 20ft-plus Cobra I agree with the one post above---with a hot foot and an experienced driver, it will handle the roughest water you would be in if you were trying to get back to the weigh-in or the boat ramp. Really was a great boat. Go to BassBoatCentral and click on the Cobra boat boards==good info.

I own a 98 Champ 190. It is great ride and handled Amistad all spring when I was working there. My good friend owns a Charger 20 footer 496 Foxfire. I must admit, it rides as good or better. And they are still in Business. Tracker Tim had one of the prettiest Chargers for sale this winter, I wanted it, but my wife was going to divorce me if i bought.
