1/ Half Blood knot. Overhand loop - sometimes doubled (tied twice) 2/ Knotless for hairs, & 5 turn Grinner. Overhand figure 8 loop. 3/ Don't use it much - so, don't have a favourite. 4/ Don't use shock leaders, but have used (36") Fluoro leaders for 'hard waters' - and use overhand loop on leader, and Grinner to mainline. 5/ I keep it simple, and only use knots I know, and have trusted all my life -- if it aint broke - don't fix it!! Having as few knots as possible leads to far fewer heartbreaks. I mostly use heavy duty lead core leaders, which I splice loops in -- one with a swivel. As I use 'Kwik Klips' for attaching hooklinks -- that means I have only 3 knots to worry about -- knotless hair and overhand figure 8 on the hooklink, and a 5 turn Grinner for leader to mainline. The only snap offs I've had for a good few years have been from having to do it because of snags -- and invariably, it's the leadcore loop that breaks. Nice to know I have a good 'weak link' as close to the fish as possible.

Sorry, I missed this last month when I was on vacation!
1. What are your favorite Mono Knots? A. Tying to a Hook Knotless knot or palomar B. Tying to a Swivel Grinner, palomar, or double-through uni (aka 'Fishin fool') C. Tying a Loop Perfection Loop or double overhand D. Tying to a Lure Reverse Clinch knot or loop knot
2. What are your favorite Braid Knots? A. Tying to a Hook I've only used knotless knot with hooks and braid B. Tying to a Swivel Grinner C. Tying a Loop Double overhand D. Tying to a Lure Never did it.
3. What are your favorite Fluorocarbon knots? A. Tying to a Hook Knotless knot / snell B. Tying to a Swivel Uni knot C. Tying a Loop Perfection Loop D. Tying to a Lure Loop knot
4. What are your favorite knots to join line? A. Flurocarbon or Mono to Braid Double Uni or Modified Albright B. Other Fly line to leader: Nail Knot or Perfection loop/double sheet bend
BTW, the 'loop knot' I use I think I made up; start with an overhand knot, pass the loose end through the hook/lure eye, then back through the overhand loop three times. Make sure the hook/lure right up against the loop before tightening. Not sure if that makes sense, but if anyone is intersted pm me and I'll put some pics together.

I really use alot of the same knots for braid and mono (No Fluor yet). For my Hair Rigs I use an Overhand Knot to make the loop, Knotless Knot to secure the hook, then a Trilene Knot at the swivel.
I use the Uni to Uni to join lines together.
I am considering the Figure of 8 Knot for Hooklength to swivel, but I haven't practiced it enough to feel confident.

The Davy knot looks promising; I'm going to learn it and give it a go.

Palomar is great for any situation, but I recently discovered the double palomar for braid.
Carp - (PB 14) Buffalo - (PB 22.4) Koi - (PB 3)
