I been try to learn Flyfishing , I was wondering if any clubs around the Dallas Area !

Head on over to the Bass Pro Shop in Garland and ask for Bill - a.k.a. "Fly" on TFF.

A good start would be to attend the "Summer Spool" event in Ft Worth this Saturday morning.

Dallas Fly Fishers meets the first Monday of the month (Next meeting, September 6, yes that's Labor Day) at the Addison Convention Center near the Addison airport. There's casting instruction from 6 to 7 and the meeting itself goes from 7 to about 9. You're welcome to come as a guest and check it out!

KYK, All the suggestions above are super! I humbly "host" a "Tyin-n-lyin'" gaggle at Bass Pro/Garland on Wed evenings from about 5:30 til 9:00 p.m. We usually have a pretty good cross section of folks. From fly club presidents and classically trained fly tiers to folks who just wander by and are fascinated by feather and fur. You can tie, watch, ask questions, whatever you want. If you don't think there is such a thing as bullfeathers just come on by...'cause we do tend to let bull parts fly  (sometime the full bull)

we would love for you to some to summer spool!!! see the earlier posts about the evnt. that is what this event is designed for. new fly fishers, and for those that want to get better. gonna be a great day. thanks rex for the bump!!

summer spool is a timely one for you-it will have casters and tyers giving instruction on Saturday
