I find the best way is to use frozen shad. You can keep them on ice, which adds weight, then shove about 3 down the bass like you would a lead weight right before way in. Looks natural, and can give you up to 8 ounces or half a pound more.

Cameron I'm tryin to tell you live bait is the way to go. By the way since its on topic Robby kept all his fish in metal cages at the Lakes of Springfield parks Lakes off Hwy 66 in Rowlett, Tx.

+1. works well in fork tournies especially. im just looking for a weight that will extend those 23 1/2 inch slot fish to 24 inchies. bolt

isnt the point of prefishing to catch fish and pt them in a cage for the tourney?
