Well its been a while since I've posted. This spring was tougher than normal but, I think we are over that now! Hybrids are starting to show up. I've been throwing the kahuna spoon and a Moe's 4" swim bait into the schools of sandbass after I locate them with a fiesta slab.

Also there have been reports of early topwater action on the shallow points. The fish in that pic was caught in 2 feet of water on a point.

I had a trip saturday and found sandbass everywhere. It seemed, there were fish on almost every hump 10-14 feet. I was starting with a moe's shanghi swim bait in the sand bass schools and catching a few hybrids. Usually, the big hybrids will bite soon after you make your first cast on a spot (if there are any there).

The water is clearing but, still somewhat stained... 76 degrees and almost no boat traffic!

sorry for the slow response, Cooper is generally a mid-day/afternoon lake and always has been although, that doesnt mean morning time is bad. They usually bite early then slow down about 7:30am or so and pick up after 10:00am till dark
