I was wondering if anyone has fished at Lake Pflugerville and if anyone knows of anywhere around there to get live bait (minnows). Was thinking about hitting it in the morning depending on the weather.

I don't believe they stocked crappie in P-ville lake, I have only seen catfish, bass and bluegill caught. The only places I know to get minnows would be Ace's Bait and tackle off of Parmer and Dutchess near Granger. My kids have caught a bunch of bluegills out there, all with worms.

i grew up around the 180 acres that is now lake pflugerville and unless they drained the two stock tanks that it consumed, their should be some nice fish in there. on two sperate occasions, one of the stock tanks opposite of the road where the lake overflows to the west, lost some of its fish I'm sure due to floading.

if this lake is going to improve, bag and size limits have to be observed. i have seen, on several occasions, people fishing the docks with undersize fish cut up on the pier, or in a basket. don't know if they were caught there, but i know how it looks.

Ya don't have to stock crappie to have them. Our stock tank is about half an acre and I can go rip 30-40 sinks out of there any day of the week. My younger brother (Meandmyboys) caught a black crappie out of it back in the early 80s that was close to if not over 3 pounds.
