Great, great pictures. Thanks for posting them. I've never fished the (there are no fish in the) Paluxy...is the water kind of off color? or normal?
Again great pictures.

to answer your question, the water was a little off color and about a foot higher than normal. Visibility is probably about 8 inches underwater. Usually it is extremely clear.

Nice reel. I used to own the .5 & 0. When I sold them they must have had a hundred scratches a few dents and many chips around the edges. I don't think I'll ever spend that much on a reel again.

the paluxy is a beautiful river and a great fishery at times. Usually the water is crystal clear. Lots of nice catfish in the river (channels and flatheads) and when the water has been clear, followed by enough rain to just stain it, the catfishing can be lights out! Have caught quite a few bream there too, but nothing of any size. Lots of smaller bass too with an occasional nice one.
I don't live for the thump, but I sure do like it.

Nice reel. I used to own the .5 & 0. When I sold them they must have had a hundred scratches a few dents and many chips around the edges. I don't think I'll ever spend that much on a reel again. Over the last few years I have begun to travel to South and Central America with some regularity, I got that reel because depending on the spool it will hold a 5-8 weight line and its drag is awsome. So if I find myself in Costa Rica hitting up river fish and snook, or in Patagonia catching browns I will be set. Nothign wrong with a few scratches, character scars! cheers, J
