What it boils down to is a political issue!
Someone with deep pockets is going to have to donate to someones campaign and ask for a favor to get that kind of thing done.

GBRA is one of the quietest entities I have ever seen. One positive I have seen is them leaving the gates open on Canyon Lake during the summer for trout to have cold water, bravo. This was not based on the trout, it was based on keeping the water flowing downstream to sell more water.
I thought GBRA had no hand in flow regulation out of Canyon. Thought the corps of engineers controlled that.

I assume that the corps of engineers controll the actual operation of the dam, but GBRA is the one that tells them how much water to release in order to meet it's requirements.
That's just my opinion of course!

what was that for?? did you fish it this weekend? i went out last monday and the lake was like chocolate milk from all the rains. has it improved since then?

Yes, it will be chocolate for a while. This lake takes a while to clear up after a storm. Dunlap clears fairly fast, but placid and mcqueeney always seem to stay dirty longer!!
