OK, everybody I know who owns a boat has the water puddle problem, including myself. Solutions range from 2x4, ropes, 5gallon buckets, PVC pipes, etc...

What's your solution?

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

I use the pedestals from my butt seats to support the cover. One in front and one in back. I took two tennis balls and cut slits in them so I can slip them over the ends of the pedestals so it distributes the weight of the cover a little better. Works great for water, but when you get a 12" freak snowfall, not so much. Had to buy a new cover after that since the weight of the snow forced the poles throught the cover. Stoopid snow.

two arched pvc pipes. One going down the boat from just behind my seats towards the front. The other pvc pipe on the back deck across the boat. They have t capes at each end with about 10" of pvc pipe for stabilizing. Easy, cheap, durable and it works. I can take pics soon if you'd like. It's not complicated you will have to play with the sizes and find the best spots to hold the pipes.

These are very creative. I'd love to see pictures of these solutions.

Mine was close to this. 2in pvc pipe from back to front. supports at the seat positions (no seats in boat used) had one support between the windshields. Put tennis balls over trolling motor prop to protect the cover. It was eqsy out easy in thow on cover and done, less than 5 minutes. It would look like an a framed house so the water would not pool on cover.

Hi Johhny:
I'm not familiar with Nolan's covers. Is this the company in which you're referring (http://nolanstops.com/)? There's not a lot of information on the website. Please share how Nolan's cover prevent water pooling problems, etc...
Tim

They fit perfectly and are tight. On my Lund they installed a pole with a snap on the cover. I have owned 5 boxed covers and all of them are junk they all become swimming pools. The guy comes to your house and in about two hours has it made. When it rains no pooling of water and super quality material.Mine has no protection sits in drive .
