The GW on Benbrook goes by stripes and not the tooth patches, as i do the same.

I was checked by the GW and we had about 40 fish in the box all whites I asked him if he wanted to check the box and he said HE11 NO!

DNA is the only true determinate. But lakes where hybrids have been stocked for many years have lots of whitebass that exhibit hybrid characteristics especially dark and broken lines. IMHO a true pure whitebass will have no broken lines and all but one line fade out before reaching the tail. Also something that was pointed out to me this winter is hybrids have a blueish tint and whitebass tend to be greenish/yellow.

I don't know who's pic this is but it represents the obvious color difference in hybrids and whites. White bass are really yellow.
