There is no pond at belt line and 183 to my knowledge. I live there. I think maybe the pond he is talking about is off of Cheyenne? I know they stock it with trout in the late winter and there are a bazillion kajillion little sunnies in there....along with some small catfish. By small I mean under 7-8 inches.

There is a pond by the swimming pool if thats the one your talking about. I used to fish it about three years ago, its full of bream, catfish and i caught a oscar out of there that was about 11 inches. Thyere is a pond on the access road of 183 before you get to Story. I never caught anyhting there though seen people fish it. Maybe that helps, I've fished pretty much anywhere possible in Irving so if ya need some info let me know

i caught some catfish out of there last year. And i looked up the stocking report for this pond and says there are bass in there. The only way to find out is wet a line.

I take my son fishing there all the time because he enjoys catching the little sunnies. I've fished it a lot and have never seen a bass caught. I've fished it for bass too. At any rate....if you want to take your kids somewhere so they catch fish....they are NOT BIG...so don't get your hopes up...but their bobber will go down for sure!

Don't even waste your time at that place they say they stocked it with 2,722 adult trout but I have not seen a one caught from there this winter. The catfish are small like others have said.

Yeah I have been catching a lot of trout on corn and marsh mellows they bite good in the morning then around 2 in the afternoon. Stay by the road side of the pond there is a wooden fence that is the hot spot.

Fished it the day of the stocking(1/4). Caught 4 that day using some pink power eggs by Berkley. Had one come off at the bank using a Mepps in-line spinner. Just the usual small (minnows) Trout. Fished the area closest to the st. between the wooden fence and the bridge. The guy next to me caught a small channel catfish, maybe 10 or 12 inches using marshmallows. Have fished it for Bass with no luck. Fishing buddy of mine says there are some in there though. Plenty of small gills for kids to have some fun with.

I grew up in this neighborhood, and fished that pond for 15 years...before it was stocked with trout. I have caught every type of fish out of there...including bass and large mutant goldfish. The park was drained about 10 or 15 years ago when they did some remodeling of the spillway area. I know the report says bass were stocked in 96, but I cannot remember if it was drained before or after that. My gut says before, and that they restocked it after. The problem is everyone keeps what they catch there. I have seen many a bass taken home on a stringer by some children or whoever is fishing. I know this doesnt answer any questions definitely, but just thought I would throw that out there. Also, the pond on 183 and story was drained around 10 or so years ago as well, when they put those hippo statues in. dont know if it was restocked after.
