They were the original Kenner family built boat. I think a ski barge was the third boat behind the Mayflower.

I have an 84 ski barge marlin 20ft. I have had it about 3 years and we love it, It runs shallow, is really stable, and has alot of room. I read on other forums that it was designed by Kenner in the early 60's and remained in production until 93 or 94

Yes, it was an early Kenner. I skied behind one for many years. Heck, I even caught some good fish out of one. It doesnt take much power to push it, but it will beat you to death in a good chop.
Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

I take mine to the coast about 3-5 times a year and run around alot of area. Mine is a 20ft with a 90 hp evinrude. It isn't fast or pretty, but it has served me well. I have been on some rough water in mine. It does tend to get you pretty wet. I am remodeling my boat right now, new floor, new front deck, live well, etc. i started last weekend and hope to have it done in a few weeks.
