I can easily find Ray Guardz that fit to protect my legs, but with size 15 EEEE feet, wading boots are a tough find. Would old leather New balance cross trainers work and if not, would making a pair of socks/booties out of Kevlar fabric to wear inside help??? My biggest problem wading is poor circulation in my left leg stemming from a past encounter as a pedestrian with a vw van. I worry about either cutting or being hit by a sting ray in that leg the most.

15??? Holy moly, don't ever get that ski stuck in the poot mud..

Any high top shoe with the ray guards will work fine.

i lost my larger pair of wading boots last winter and as of lately i wear a pair of leather hiking boots from walmart with my waders (15 bucks, that i bought in a crunch at 6am thank god for walmarts). my smaller boots dont fit with the neoprene. never had any problems so far, and they do a pretty good job. i'll be getting a new pair for next winter, but for now they work. rayguard "says" they make a 15 on their website its that EEEE that wont work

pat, with feet that big, i dont think he has to worry about sinking in mud eeks

He'll just slide across the mud like an alpine skier.

Sorry, it's Monday, someone's gotta catch it.

Just find you a cheap pair of rubber working/rain boots. Thats what i use. You might get a little water in them as you wade, but no biggie. Tape them up with some duct tape if you want.

My buddy wears a size 15 and weighs 315 lbs and has some rubber work boots that he used last week to go wading. Of course he works for the police department though. haha

He just uses the rubber work boots and no other Ray Guard leggings?? That would make it worth the effort to try to find large wide rubber work boots. I didn't realize the rubber work boot would stop a sting ray barb - or will it?? I learn something new every day.

i have a pair just like his, except mine are 10s. we just stuff the waders inside of them. yeah they are pretty thick rubber. i wouldn't think a stingray could penetrate them. but i wouldn't put my money on a shark bite! haha!

I've seen stingray go through a pair of waders, so I sure wouldn't want to think my force field was up with a pair of rubber boots.

well i would expect a stingray to go through waders since they are easy to penetrate. you could stick a pen through them. i just asked my buddy who works for the police department and he said that his boots can be penetrated by a snake bite, so im guessing stingray could possibly get through them. just shuffle your feet, you'll be fine! haha!

I've witnessed two ray stabbings, both of them were sorta freak deals.

One the guy was just getting off his scooter, and bam.
The other guy stepped backwards and got it.

I think there's more of them now than ever, I don't know why, just seems to be.
