Normal detail service - $150.00 which includes: hull cleaner if required, wash, rinse, wax, vaccum - inside and out, vinyl cleaner, and uv protectant.

Free estimates for gelcoat restoration, and cost is based on the amount of work required. It normally runs $150.00 to $200.00 per side (side, cap, inside). The normal detail work is included in the cost as well.

Ray, how long do you need to keep a boat typically?

It all depends on the work to be done, but no more than 2 days usually and that's on the ones in bad shape. Otherwise, 1/2 to 1 day on normal detail jobs.

If it is too hot to fish, get your boat a new shine and be looking good next time out to the lake.

This is my neighbor's boat. We had tried various polish / compounds multiple times with virtually NO meaningful results. We were wasting our time! The boat's finsih came back from DEAD !! The pictures illustrate the difference very well. Great job Ray.

Thanks Bass-Hole for passing info along. Guiding for bass has many rewards, but as we know, success isn't always controled by the fisherman/guide. Restoring the shine on a boat, on the other hand, puts success right in your face so to speak...

I am in the process of trying to bring the glimer back on my 93 skeeter...have tried a few different products. What have you found to be the best?

I've tried several products with mostly the same results. Hard work seems to be the deal. You'll enjoy it once it is completed.

Well, I hope everyone had a great holiday season. As we all know, the most popular fishing season is getting closer. This means I'll be guiding as much as possible, and wont be able to detail boats until June or July. So, if you need to get your boat back in great shape visually, let's get it done before March!!!

Anyway, here is some before and after pictures of picklefork/bisquit's Pantera II - it had plenty of scratches, water damage and oxidation issues - but look at it now..

How long will the shine last, typically?

It depends on the amount of care that is given to the boat afterwards. Leave it in the sun, weather, or on the water it is going to come back without spme care..

Ray, 1992 18.9 ft Javelin 389dc, I can clean it up pretty good,just doesnt last that long. Is your detail job more in depth than my general wash/wax? If I maintain the job you do on it, how long can I expect the snotty marble shine? Very interested after seeing that Cat! What would I expect to pay for my boat?

Hey Gimme5....thats my cat Ray just finished...that boat is 21 years old and it sure looked it before Ray got hold of it.. What he did was way beyond wash and wax..he hand sanded the whole thing!!!! then washed and waxed and detailed....Ended up with a whole new finish that should last for years if kept out of the weather during storage......No way I would have done all that work for what he charged......

Thanks picklefork for the comments. And yes GIMME-5, there is a lot more involved. Some boats are too far gone and wont have the same results or last as long as others. Also, it can only be done so many times. The more you take off to get to the good stuff the less you have to work with especially with metal fleck areas.

Ray, I have a 2006 stratos 180 fs the top cap is silver metallic, it is starting to yellow could you do something with it, along with a full detail? Also looking to purchase a 01 procraft that the top cap gelcoat is peeling. Could you do anything with that? Thanks

Hey tffers just got my bass cat back today.Words can not express what a great job,Ray did.The old girls top cap white was in terrible shape,now it shines like new ,never thought it would.If yr boat needs it Ray is the man ,i truly recommend you go see him.

Ray just got done with my boat last week. He did a full detail and some scratch repair on the gel coat. He does an awesome job! My 14-year old boat that was very scratched up looks almost brand new.

I do not do carpet, but check with Lake Fork Boat Carpet, or Mineola Upol.. both do great work.
