Headed down this afternoon for a bit of fishing. Thinking of using dead shrimp and hug the bottom.....what do you think?? Anyone been as of late?? What's running and what will they bite best?

hey pkychg,

With dead shrimp, you're likely to catch some black drum, hard heads, and red drum. I personally recommend some live finger mullet. With that you can catch pretty much everything like red drum, speckled trout, and flounder. If you have a casting net net, take of advantage of it, if not, go to your nearest live bait shop.

With the water warming up, you should catch a little bit of everything, depending where you are fishing at. When the water is above 68 degrees is real good for fishing. Last night I checked the water temps and it looks like the water ARE starting to warm pretty darn good.
