I was at Calaveras Sunday and the prices were the same. The lady at the gate did mention that the annual pass was $75 so it looks like there still selling them. It's the first time in about 4 years that I have seen the GW on the lake checking everyone for licenses, catch etc. I hope he checked everyone and comes out more often.

I hear what ur saying but boaters have the same right to fish that part of water as u do... Cause I got into it with some guys over the same thing, I flip the reed beds along that strech of bank all the time for bass have guys yelling at me.. Ill fish one reed bed and use my trolling motor instead of my big and move on to the next bed....

i understand that boaters have to go over bankfishermans lines , im ok with that.and that they do have the right to fish this part of the lake . i go out n bass fish in my friends boat and we do go over lines to get to the reed beds and weve had bank fisherman tell us they have lines out there. im talking about the times when they anchor on top of lines directly in front of our rods. or when they come too close and get our lines in their prop. i know that alot of the times its an honest mistake but there are the few boaters that stay on them and expect us to not cast into our original spot.thats why im hoping that the new owners do inform the visitors that there may be lines 100yds into the water on the recreational part of the lake . you do know what you are doing but theres several others that dont realize a prop will catch our lines if they come in too close
