I think some of you guys from the Metroplex should facebook Ike and get a show done on the Trinity. How 'bout it?

Dan and I already talked to him about it. He said it would be fun. BUt the producers are the ones who handle that deal.

If they were to do it from the Sandy Lake ramp and go north then it would make for quite a show!

How bout the pond with the Las Colinas horses? That sounds like something Ike would try. Better yet, that canal that runs right through Las Colinas.

I think he ought to fish from South Dallas on the Trinity down to lot 6 in Bristol. That would be interesting. or fish Bauchman lake right there off of northwest highway! When that show came out, I couldn,t figure out where they would actually do it in Dallas. Great Topic!

Jeff Magee won a shoot out against Denny Brauer in one and Jeff Garrett won the other one. So it looks like the odds on favorite for any tournament on White Rock would be someone with the first name of Jeff! lol BTW, the Trinity River north of Sandy Lake Park does harbor some nice sized bass. Fished that from a flatbottom boat all thru the late 70's and early 80's. When we were developing the area between I-635 and Royal Lane back in the early 80's, I could stand and watch the bass spawning in the Spring, some nice ones too! As mentioned earlier, Lake Caroline in Las Colinas has some really good bass in it too but I believe Ike's show trys to represent "public" waters within the city limits. You can't just run over and drop your bass boat in Lake Caroline, lol, you will be greeted rather promptly. Heck, they even freak out if you try to fish from the shore!

Lake Worth, showing fighter jets flying over just above your head, then heading north up the river, showing Downtown fort worth in the skyline. sounds good to me, and maybe when i watch the show he could show me how to catch'em

Grapevine, Lewisville, or Ray Hubbard would be good choices.

And before those two events, TBBU had an annual fund raising tournament on White Rock. The backseat of 10 pros boats would be auctioned off, for fishing the lake in a ten hole circuit.
The current lake record was caught by Randy Dearman in one of TBBU's tournaments.
