It was tough fishing these 4 days to say the least. The gorgeous weather did not make them go wild like I was hoping but the good thing is that we didn't get skunked. We had 1 boat fishing on Wednesday and Thursday, 2 boats fishing on Friday and Saturday. Here are the results:

Wednesday: 0 Fish
Thursday: Landed 1 Fish
Friday: Landed 6 Fish (5 bass, 1 foul hooked 9 lb. carp) (also, 1 giant something got away)
Saturday: Landed 5 Fish (Lost 3 bass at the boat)

Every fish we caught was in Birch Creek, except for a dinky buck bass that I caught in a cove near the main lake. We could not catch anything anywhere else except Birch. The water is pretty muddy up in there, but the water is alot clearer near the main lake. The water temps were approaching 57 degrees at some times in Birch. My friend said he found 60 degree water in Glade Creek on the last day. Every fish was caught on either a Chatterbait or a Red Trap except for the biggest fish which was caught on a black and blue jig, fish weighed 7 lbs. Most fish were caught in 2-3 ft. of water on the grass edges but there always had to be a creek channel nearby with atleast 5-6 ft of water. Chatterbait colors were red/black and Chartreuse/white colors. Trap colors were of course red. We fished hard all day long with no lunch breaks. Our hands were worn out from chunking and winding all day and ripping the baits through the grass. I have now become a fan of the chatterbait, I had little faith in it before this trip. Its an excellent bait that works through the grass like a champ. I think we could have caught alot more fish if the water was clearer, I would assume that most of the fish that we caught were thrown right in front of their noses. Thanks to all the guides and fisherman who gave me tips for this trip. I am sure I will be looking on here for my next trip to a Texas lake, more than likely Falcon, Amistad, or Choke Canyon.
