[quote=paul_tx]Great idea, thanks for setting this up.
I added to the map in Carrollton. Two great little ponds with good size bass and catfish. Four years ago the water was very low and there were dead catfish that I promise were at least two feet long.
No trees close to the banks so you can take a fly rod as well.
SE corner of 35 and George Bush.

you mean Ken Good Park, the north pond has numbers that south pond has larger fish...of every species, I have been spooled out by something.

I posted another on Sandy Lake, its the Trinity.
Good fishing sometimes.

Wow! Holy shite! I haven't checked this thread or map for a week or so. The map has blown up! Great job guys! I am fairly new to this forum and this was one of the very first post I made. This is something I imagine a lot of green horns come in here looking for. I came in here eager to learn about fishing and where to fish! Now someone can refer to this map and probably find a place just down the street from them to practice fishing. That is what I was looking for. A place I could go to after work that wouldn't be to far of a trek. Thanks for all the honey holes!

I like your map, it has lots of good info but the thing is, this map we are working on is a community editable map. Anyone can add to it.

This is great guys! I do have to say the places that Lone Star tagged as LUMPS and Great Spot.... yeah I was almost arrested for fishing those... they do have signs... NO FISHING/NO TRESPASS.... (see the post "Arrested for fishing" in which i was called a cop hating, poacher, NOT TRUE lol) Maybe we can step up game on these cool maps and add if they are posted or not... at least a guy knows what he is in for lol.... The pond with the boat docks and the weeds is the only one of those legal...The fantastic Lewisville police let me know... Great maps very cool!

This is crazy, I would never give up my hotspots. If I posted the spots I fish it would be impossioble to catch anything. Plus to many people leave trash and *hit behind. Not gonna happen, sorry

I don't think these are hotspots, just bank fishing spots. And besides that, what's the point of these forums if we can't share some info with one another?

Sharing info is one thing, but when you find your favorite spot covered in garbage and the fish severely abused, it makes a person apprehensive about sharing ALL their spots.

Well, I am sorry that your spot got trashed, that sucks. All the spots I posted were trashed out long before I got there and before I posted them here. I've been telling people about my favorite place to fish and still haven't seen anyone else out there.
