Reliable sources are telling me they have brought in limits the past 3 days on the north side of Texoma in the creeks. It's on like you know who: Quote of the day: An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly Considered. An inconvenience is only an adventure Wrongly considered. G. Chesterson

Thanks for the report Mack. Did they say what the water clarity is right now up there? They say muddy but the temps in the 50's 5ft or less. I don't know if these are all keepers or they are counting numbers. Second hand info. As long as the sun stays out for a while they will be chasin' shad up shallow. They are HONGREY after a cold winter.

Did they say what the water clarity is right now up there? Do tell. Thats the only reason I haven't been other than 4 kids, 1 wife, 2 dogs, 2 jobs, gardening, wrecking trucks, and sleeping.

interesting.. I've always found crappie on the main lake to spawn later on Texoma than other lakes by a few weeks because it's usually colder.
I've got cabin fever so bad, I'm thinking of trying to catch the neighborhood cats with my jiggin pole and lizard.

Seems early to me. Texoma crappie normally move up in late March with warm conditions and in April most of the time. With our cold winter water temps are colder than normal.

Well, left the waders at home today. Wind wasn't so bad, at least in the coves and creeks. Went up into the shallows and saw some bait moving. Saw a huge school of something moving around the bank. Not sure what they were, kinda light colored, school was about 5ft wide by 3ft deep. did see some minnow jumping away from bass in 2ft but nobody wanted my jig. Got a call from "Texas Sage"(Andy) and picked him up. He had been talking to "Raptor" (Dom), said he had a pretty good mess today. Andy gave me a grand tour of a great creek. We went back about 2.5 miles. good water and beautiful spots. We did more sight seeing than fishing. Saw a few more boats in there and got their reports. Mostly bass and sandie hunters with a crappie mixed in. 56 degree water in there, still in the mid 40s on the main lake.
