Fished Joe Pool temp was 48 all over and bass were slow to non-existent. Went up-river to Mike's Cove and found 58 temp water and bass jumping out of very shallow muddy water along stick ups and dead grass in the back of the cove. Threw everything but caught nothing.

I got the name off of a Hot Spot map years ago and that is all I know it as. It is located on the Mountain Creek arm south of Lake Ridge Parkway bridge, the first cove on the west bank south of the bridge. We have done well there in the spring and it should get better in the next few weeks.

Headed to Grapevine Monday and then Fork later next week.
