Try the dam Josh, we didn't have luck for nothing that day. Know what's fun?? Gars during the crappie spawn when they come in to eat the eggs

I'll have to give the dam a try. The way the wind was blowing today would have made the dam unbearable. What end should I try? I've driven over it a few times while scouting but have never seen anyone fishing.
The bite at DC was slow, but steady for most of the day. Nothing special and most were smaller. Threw them all back. I've been saving all the eggs from the Crappie I caught. Might be fun to catch some Gar.

I have always had luck about halfway between the pump station and where you park. The water is the deepest past the pump station though. So DC is heating up again? I am due for a visit for the weekend to Wichita falls next weekend, hope something is hungry and ready for me. Those stupid gar will hit anything but used to catch em all the time while whisker fishing.

Henrietta bridge stunk again this morning. Only saw one person catch a single crappie. Gotta be at least another week and half away before spawn starts

Hello all, my son and I are new to the forum but not to lake arrowhead. We would like to contribute to helping all of us catch more fish. We went Friday and Saturday morning. bite was slow. 0 for me 3 for my son. We were at H Bridge and DC. Hoping water warms this week.

Welcome the forum! We need as many folks from our area as we can get. I'm going to try Buffalo lake this week if I can avoid so much overtime. Hopefully fish Henrietta bridge Saturday or maybe the derricks. Anyway, TFF helps feed my fishing addiction.

5 less trout in Plum lake today. Nice job! How is the meat on them. I always found truck trout to be a little mushy but that was in California and Nevada. Are all their tail rounded from the concrete tanks?

Pezz- how big were they?? The last few I been catching haven't been worth cleaning. All small. But still fun!! I am planning on hitting up both HB and DC this weekend if I can get my lawn mowed by then.

I prefer the small ones, my wife fries them up crispy and they're so good. I was planning on Buffalo lake this week but the roads are surely too muddy now. I might get the boat out this weekend if the weather permits. Too many options and no sure bets, well besides 5 more trout tomorrow if I don't work overtime.

My sons and I go trout fishing every year. We let them soak in a bowl of salt water for an hour or so and then rinse them off. Try rapping them in foil with garlis salt, butter and lemon! Very good.
Also deep frying is good.

Went to arrowhead this afternoon. Bridges, but forgot thermometer! No fish, used minnows. Two guys showed right before dark and caught 2 on roadrunners. Sounds like I should have went to Plum.
Anyone had any luck at the damb?

Nothing but catfish. Hit DC and H for nothing. Might have to go pick up some roadrunners.

heavy, did the guys that showed up right before dark have lanterns? I think that means they are moving in at night/early morning.
