.. I feel the need to prove that; 1) I can catch a fish and 2) not fall out of a boat. Yes, I did catch it with the "other" tackle. The fish being deep wanting something large, chewy, slow, and wind ruled of my fly gear. Please forgive me and bless the pygmies in New Guinea.

How do we know you didn't fall out of the boat? After all it is beached and you could of fallen out on dry ground.
Nice pig!

Nice fish. Dry clothes too. How far did you have to walk the bank before you found a beached boat to pose by?*
*I wasn't there, but having flipped my own boat I feel qualified to comment.
FISH ON!!! ummmmm off

That's a very nice bass. Fat and healthy. I'm so ready for a little bassin. Got stats on that hog by any chance? Texas rig?

The whole thing looks a little...fishy. (Whips off sunglasses dramatically while the wind blows in his face) Now that I've had time to re-examine the photograph, I think I can reconstruct the events that lead up to it. Obviously, given the suspect's prior activities and MO, I hypothesize that he managed to again fall out of a boat, but due to the shame of it occurring yet again, decided to walk to shore underwater rather than climb back into his watercraft. Whilst on this Cousteau-esque stroll, the suspect tripped over a baitcasting rig lost by another fisherman just moments before after a vicious strike by Micropterus salmoides. Seizing the opportunity to save face, the suspect stumbled to shore and was caught in the act of piscatorial theft by the landowner of the property that he was probably trespassing on in the first place. Note the quick-drying cotton clothing chosen by the suspect for this caper and the "sweat" darkened cork grip of "his" fishing rod. And he almost got away with it too... Threadjack: If you haven't seen the video below, it's worth a chuckle and was the inspiration for this post.

Very nice looking fish, even if it was caught on unconventional gear.
