I am looking to off load my Lowe Roughneck 1756vtc and looking at getting An Xpress x-19 or x-21. I love my lowe but do not like their new design. Give me some pros and cons on the xpress.

pros- handles rough water, hard to beat performance wise with any other aluminum boat. hard to punch a hole in, in the sticks.

cons- aluminum is light and the wind moves it(but if you came from aluminum you are already adjusted to this).

i think you will be tickled pink with an Xpress. send a pm to Bazztex and maybe he will let you ride in his 21' tin boat wink those things will fly with the big motors!

I have an 01 X19 with an 200 yamaha and like it a lot. It handles the rough water fairly well. Like he said that wind blows the front around a little...you have to stay on the trolling motor. It is fairly easy to pull if you have a smaller vehicle.

I own an XPress X-19 with 200 Optimax. Everything I need in a bass boat. It's fast, stable and has plenty of storage. Don't think I will go back to glass.

Does your MK have the Maximizer feature? It allows you to run much longer than the non maximizer equipped MK. How big is the Battery? Brand, size, condition?

My MK does have the Maximizer feature.

size 27 batts...Don't remember the brand...came with the boat 4 years ago......will change out this year.

Can fish two full days on one charge, dependant on the wind.

I have a X-19 with a 200 HPDI and it's not bad . It will get you wet on big water and I wished I had gone with a 21 ' for that reason . When I trade I will go back to a glass boat because that's what I.ve always fished out of and I think overall they out perform an aluminum boat . The fuel economy on the X -19 is fantastic , if you run 15 gal. in a day you've covered a lot of water .

I had two X-21. The only real problem I had was the stingers(inside welded support bars) busted loose in rough water and collapsed the hull on both. And my last split at main middle seam for about 12' and the side weld. They welded both back and a little extra weight to the boat. 1st boat ran much faster than second. Took rough water well except for the forementioned problem.

I have a X-19 with 200hp Yamaha vmax. Best upgrade so far has been the Xi5 24volt trolling motor. The spot lock in the wind makes it much easier to fish. Mine is an 2001 and I did buy it with some cracking in the welds across the back but discovered whoever set the engine screwed up mounting it. After fixing that issue and tig welding a better seam I havn't had any more issues. Also put a larger jackplate on and it'll handle rough water better. I have a 10" on it now from a 6".
