RHBC February Tournament!

Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be holding our first tournament of 2010 on Saturday February 13th on Lake Ray Hubbard. Here are the details.
• Date: Saturday February 13th
• Time: TBD at our meeting on Thursday February 11th
• Launch Site: Chandlers Landing Marina
• Cost: $55.00 per boat
You must be a member of the club to fish this tournament. We do not take memberships at the ramp so you must come to our meeting on Thursday February 11th to join the club to fish this tournament. The launch fee at Chandlers will be $5.00. This will also be your last opportunity to join before our other major club event on February 20th. Feel free to send me a PM or an e-mail (tomnali2@sbcglobal.net) for more details or information. You can also contact any of our other officers as well.

You want a good time, meet new friends, learn more about bass fishing and the area lakes......Come join Ray Hubbard Bass Club!!! RHBC offers low membership fee and tournament fee, people who care about each other, and will find the answer to your bass fishing questions whether it is about a certain lake, technique, presentation, or simply how to get there! We have guest speakers talking on subjects from bass fishing to boat maintenace and new or improved lures and techniques. Meetings at Sammy's BBQ right off of Dalrock Road and old 66 at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday February 11, 2010. Hope to see you there!!!!!!

I have a buddy that works nights at my job that wants to join and is not able to make the meeting, is there any other way to join?

Jeremy Jeremy, as you are a member, contact one of the officers with the details of who would like to join. Then have them contact one of the officers and they can discuss membership. We should be able to make something work for them and you.

It won't be long before the season starts up. For anyone that has thought about the idea of fishing tournaments but without the pressure of feeling like you have to be a pro to compete. The RHBC is a friendly club that loves to fish and the competition is only a part of what this club is about. Believe me you won't feel out of place and not a face in the crowd. We all want to help you learn more and more. Come join the RHBC and see for yourself. It will be a great experience.

So what is going to be the winning weight this year? Last January we had three teams approach the 20 lb. mark. It's fishing a little tougher this year so I predict it will take 22 lbs to win!

Weather so far is supposed to be low 50's. That's warm compared with how it's been.  Yea right! that's what they said for last saturday and I don't think it got above 41  . The lows are to be in the 20's and low 30's all week. Gonna be cold and tough, again, this weekend.
